Busy Busy Busy weekend!!! Awards day!!!

Friday we had the Graduation party for Bridgette and today we had ball games and closing ceremonies at the ball park. Started off the morning with Megan and her team playing for the championship, we came in 2nd!!! They did a great job this year from starting off losing several games to coming back to end the season in the number 2 spot.

After Megan's ball game, we had the Softball Olympics. This was for all the softball players. Our Megan came in 2nd in the accuracy throw for the 10U.

After that there were closing ceremonies. Keyleigh got her 1st trophy for playing ball. And in all the ceremonies Travis and I were running back and forth watching Coleman play his ball game. No pictures of him playing today because it was more about Keyleigh and Megan!!! On a side note we also watch Crislynn and Brennon play there games too. What a day, I think I am going to bed, tomorrow is another long day, church and Keyleigh has her ball party...
Busy, busy, am I !!!!
During the ceremonies Keyleigh decided to get into the white chalk if you look close you will see it all over her. But it was a easy fix, just had to wash it off and head back to the field...
That's my Key Key!!
Oh, did I mention I cut Megan's hair to !!!

She had been begging me to cut it and she wanted it this short!!!

Sometimes I think I am crazy!!!!

This past Friday I was giving my niece a gradution party! Well, I waited too late and did not have everything I needed for her party so I had to go to Walmart with the little ones. I prayed the whole way there that they would act right and not cry. I also had Keyleigh and Coleman with me. Megan had spend the night with one of her softball friends. I will have to say they did great!!! I got all my shopping done and made it home! Here are some of the pictures. Addie fell asleep on me!!

After I got home and was cooking, my sister called and said that she was stuck on the side of the road broken down. They were coming back from orientation at UAB (University of Alabama Birmingham). Needless to say I had to step it up and get there earlier and get it decorated before 6pm that night. After Ellie went home and I got the kiddos in the car I did not get to the church until 5. I was a little late but we got it done before everyone showed up! Bridgette and my sister got there to, right at 6. The party turned out great!

Little Miss Ellie the Monkey

As most of you know I keep little Miss Ellie! She is such a joy to have at our house. Addie loves having a friend to come over and play. Well the past couple of times I have had Ellie she has not wanted to sleep. We lay down after lunch time everyday and the past couple of times she has decided to do this instead!!!!

Happy Birthday Poppy, Congrats Megan and Cole!

What a week!!! We had another busy weekend and started the week off busy too.

Sunday: 1st was Poppy's Birthday!!! We got all the kids together and took some pictures..

Tuesday: I let Megan sleep in and not go to school, At about 8 am I got a phone call from Mrs. Winters (Megan's teacher) asking why Megan was not at school. I explain to her that Megan did not get into bed until late the night before and I just let her sleep in. She explain to me that Megan was going to be honored for a very important award. I felt like crap! I did not mention I had Ellie and Logan, I did not plan on going to Megan's awards day because I did not think she was going to get anything big. I was wrong, I felt terr able!!! I did not have transportation to get her at the school with the extra kiddos. So I had to call Travis to take off work and head back home to take her to school. Long story short Megan got awarded for being the over all best 5th grade Girl on her block.

Wednesday: it was Coleman's turn. I knew he was going to get some awards I had already planned to be at school for his awards...

Coleman got awards for being the top AR points holder in 2nd Grade!!! Also he was awarded the Outstanding performance in all Subject award, and last he was awarded the highest reading award. I am so proud of both of them!!!!! I feel if I don't do anything else right at least I know I am doing something right with my children.

A Day with The Midgett's

Ok for some of you out there, when you call my cell phone or our home phone you do not get a answer. Well this is the reason why. With 4 kids we always have something going on. So I decided to let you see what one day looks like in our life!!! So here we go.

Sunday:

We start off with church, Travis and I go to our worship and then we volunteer in the middle tree house at the 11am service. That day we had 140 children attend. This is one of 3 services that our church does. We have 3 different children worship areas, that is not including the pre-k worship area. I love that our children get their own service on their level.
After church we head to ball park.

1St stop is pictures for Megan ball team. I forgot to take any pictures but we decided to do our own because the picture people were way to expensive. Then we head to the quad for a ball game at 1:30.

I did not get a good picture, I was to busy feeding Addie to make her happy. Megan did great, she bunted a ball against the fastest girl pitcher.. Way to go Meg for not backing down from Anna!

Next it was Coleman's ball game

Here is Coleman going after a ball. I know I need one of those great cameras, maybe after Travis sees this post he will let me get one lol. I heard Cole had a great hit today but I missed it because I was taking Keyleigh to the other side of the park to get her pictures made. Her team did the same thing and we took our own pictures. I did remember to take some of those pictures.

This is Coach Jason showing one of the girls how to stand. I was to busy getting Keyleigh to stand right and forgot to get a picture of her. One of our moms did the pictures for us. So we should be getting pictures soon.
Next off to Keyleigh's ballgame.

This is how busy we were today. Look at Keyleigh's feet I forgot to put the right shoes on. She said she could not hit the ball if she did not have the right shoes.

If you can see once she got the right shoes on she did hit the ball. This is her running from second to third.

After church, pictures and 3 ball games we are pooped and that is the reason we do not call anyone back or answer the phone because by the time we get home we crash!!!!! I hope you enjoyed our day. Yes, Addie was with us but I forgot to take a picture of her.

Does my child thinks she a Dog?

Today I notice Addie acting a little weird. So I sat back and watch what she was doing.

After a little while I realized she was throwing her cereal in the floor and picking them back up from the floor.
I think she is hanging out with Kemo to much.
Next thing I know, she will be barking like him too...

Megan

Ok I have to brag on Megan a little. Last night at the ball game she played her best game. She hit the ball every time and did great job in the outfield. She also stole 2nd. Way to go Meg. The bad thang is I did not have a camera. Before the game I drop her off at the park to warm up, took Cole to practice (off site), came back to the park took Keyleigh to practice and came back to Megan's game. Oh well I can't think of everything at least I got to watch her play. Tonight if we don't get rained out I will take some pictures.
Here is some crazy pictures of her and Jada this past weekend.

Update on our Canada Trip!!

Above is a picture of some of the Canada children we might be teaching during our trip in July. I think this was taken last year. We went to a meeting today about the mission trip. Some of the stuff I was told sadden me. Some of the children that will come to the camp will only bring one pair of shorts and a shirt and that is all they will have for the whole week. I came home and took a look at our house and saw how much clothes our children have, and all I can think about is how blessed we are. I want our children to know how lucky they are. I have not even left and this trip is starting to change me. I am asking for you to pray for us as we start the process for this trip. Pray for the children that we are going to meet. Pray for all the people going on this trip. We need to be covered in prayer for the next 3 months.

Family Night

Last night Coleman had a Art's Fair at school, so we skipped baseball practice and headed to the school. We got home early and had some steaks and ate dinner as a family. I enjoy doing this, I wish we could do it more. After dinner we did a family devotional. It was a great night.

Cole was so excited about his picture.
